Good Morning Scrappers!!  Today is January 17-  baby its COLD outside!!  January is a great time to get those  pictures out that you have been meaning to scrap... but didn't know where to begin...    So  make a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate and get those projects out and get crackin!

GETTING ORGANIZED  is the hard part for me.  I have a TON of pics of my boys that
I have developed from back when pics were 35mm.. and not digital. So i began with those.  Why spend the money on developing new ones  if you already have pics ready to be cropped and scrapped!

If you are like me they were all in envelopes waiting to be sorted.  So...  if you have a kajillion like I did, start small.  Get them sorted according to child.  I have  2 boys so I began with 2 piles.    After you have that out of the way, you will want to sort them  according to event.  I like to keep my books in chronological order for the most part.   Sorting your pics can be done in a recipe card style format-  in  photo boxes etc.,    but I go a step further and  add them right to the scrapbook  book I want to add it to.  I slide the pics right into the  12 x 12 sleeve. Remember  you can only  put so many pics on a  12 x 12  page- so don't put more than 5 in a sleeve.   Most albums only have 10-15 pages in them so you will have small projects ready for cropping.  These books can be taken easily to the scrapbook store  if you don't already have the paper and materials  for the layouts you wish to create. They can be taken to crops so you don't have to tote around so many materials and they can be easily taken to  the family room during the super bowl.. or movie night.  It's quite amazing what you can accomplish when you are just hanging around watching tv.  I am a mad matter so I almost always have a white ivory mat around my cropped pics.  Once cropped and matted-  its  very  easy to get  your layouts completed!

PLEASE email me  if you need help getting organized!  I love to help and want you to get started!
